President of Lahore University Visits Isfahan Science and Technology Town to Explore Collaboration

Dr. Asghar Zaidi, President of Lahore University, Pakistan, visited the Isfahan Science and Technology Town (ISTT) and the Regional Center for Technology Incubator and Science Park Development (IRIS) on Tuesday, August 26, 2025.

During the visit, Ms. Mozhgan Yazdianpour, Director of International Affairs at ISTT, introduced the activities of ISTT and IRIS, outlining models of cooperation with Pakistani universities. She highlighted ISTT’s diverse memberships in international associations and praised IRIS’s role in hosting and facilitating innovation-driven initiatives.

Dr. Zaidi expressed his appreciation for ISTT’s achievements and emphasized the importance of building partnerships at the highest level of collaboration. He noted that it was the first time he had encountered the concept of “incubation of arts”, describing it as a new and inspiring idea for academic cooperation.

The visit also included a meeting with Dr. Abtahi, President of ISTT, where both sides discussed future avenues for strengthening academic and technological ties between Iran and Pakistan. Following the meeting, Dr. Zaidi toured several knowledge-based companies located in ISTT, gaining firsthand insight into their innovative projects and potential for collaboration with Pakistani institutions.
